Minerals – A Delicate Balance
Your body is really smart. It stores extras of what it can stabilize inside itself for times when it really needs it. It can’t do it with everything, but it can with minerals. Not only are minerals important for our bones, organs and teeth, they are super important to regulate the pH in the body and keep it within very narrow ranges.
A lot of foods and drinks we enjoy such as fast foods, convenience foods, cakes, pastries, alcohol, fried foods, cigarettes, animal protein, sodas, dairy products and refined sugars and carbohydrates, are very acidic to the body. Add stress, lack of sleep and toxic environmental factors which can load the body with an acidic burden for extended periods of time. Continued acidic conditions caused by low mineral reserves keep the body in the acidic range of pH unable to correct the pH imbalance.
The body desperately tries to maintain an optimum pH balance by excreting all of the toxic and acidic compounds it finds within itself. When it cannot, it accumulates and stores these acids inside cells and fat cells, causing an acidic cellular environment. The body now tries to over-compensate by making the blood more alkaline because for every acidic molecule in the body, there needs to be an alkaline one to neutralize it. It is hoped that the alkaline molecules come from the alkaline reserves that the body has built for these occasions. The blood is the highway to escort these acids from the body.
When the blood reaches its high tolerance point of alkalinity, it becomes saturated with oxygen and is unable to release it to the cells for metabolic functions. The cells become deprived of oxygen and are unable to function normally, which provides a breeding ground for bacteria that love low oxygen environments, in addition to environments that encourage disease to thrive. As the body struggles to normalize, more acids accumulate in the extracellular fluid and the body uses what potassium, magnesium and sodium that it can because of their fast acting nature. As the acidity worsens, calcium is pulled from your bones into your blood stream in its drastic attempt to normalize. This condition, called free calcium excess is the cause of arthritis and osteoporosis. In either condition, the calcium is misplaced.
By adding more alkaline foods to the diet and including lots of alkaline, ionized water, the body will be able to better accumulate and store alkaline reserves for those times when you absolutely have to have that steak dinner. Instead of struggling with an ever increasing acidic nature, your body will trade acidic molecules for alkaline ones without struggle or creating a disease condition. All you have to do is remember to eat your greens and other alkaline foods, along with drinking alkaline, ionized water.
Jean Perrins is a retired nurse and an alkaline, ionized water specialist. She has been field testing the effects of structured water on health in her clinic with sometimes astounding results. It is clear that water has an affect on health that we, in the West are just beginning to understand.
Jean is currently working with a team to develop microbicidal and Free Active Chlorine applications to revolutionize industrial and agricultural methods using Invins-AbleTM electrochemically activated water. She and her team believe that Invins-AbleTM will help eliminate antibiotic and hormone use in food animals and will allow cleaning and chemical services to do more and more processes with this structured water. The economic and environmental savings are astounding. Check out http://www.drinkalkalineionizedwater.com for more articles.
