Examining a MLM Business model is a healthy thing for any prospective company to do even if they don’t intend on using that business model themselves. By examining the structure that a multi-level marketing business opportunity provides to it’s distributors, dealers and sales staff you can learn new ways to think about your own marketing structure. Even if you sell a product or service that wouldn’t fit into the conventional MLM or network marketing business plan, and have no intention to implement such, it can be instructional. Network marketing businesses are successful because people are motivated while working them, whether for more money or the freedom to do what they choose.

The attraction of a network marketing business is that the people involved feel like they are in business for themselves. If you look at any successful MLM Business such as Kirby, Amway Global, Watkins, Reliv or Prepaid Legal, you’ll find people who are working for more rewards than just the paycheck at the end of the pay period. Some are working for cars, cash bonuses or prizes, while others simply want the prestige of being recognized by the higher ups in the company. Some of these MLM Business sales people are even motivated by the money, but since they are able to write their own paycheck, they work harder and with a better attitude than most employees.

That’s not to say that you should begin to pay all of your employees some sort of commission structure based upon work performance, but there are other ways to motivate them. You can offer prizes or awards for various things, recognizing them for a project completed, or least sick days used. The point is to give your employees something that they care about to work towards. If you can find something other than the paycheck that motivates your employees they will work harder for you, and you will find it is one of the best, and cheapest investments you can make.

The MLM business model is very powerful for motivating employees and helping them to feel a part of the organization. Find out more about utilizing the MLM business model and other network marketing tips at the MLM Leads Guide Blog.
