Preparation

Before you begin you need to do a few things to make sure that the room is ready to be worked on. Make sure that you do the installation during the daytime so that you can use the sunlight to see. The blades of the fan need to be seven feet from the floor in order to offer the best efficiency. Around the fan there should be 24″ around the blades so that there is nothing blocking it. You need to secure the new box to the brace it comes with in between the ceiling joists.
