The vast majority of people shun away from creating their own websites when affiliate marketing. They think it costs too much money, is too hard, or takes too much time to be worth it. They couldn’t be more wrong.

I did a little test recently. I started promoting Provillus, which is a natural, herbal, hair loss prevention and re-growth treatment. It seriously sells like hot cakes (it can be found at Market Health) if you know what you are doing.

Firstly, I tested direct linking to it. I set up a Google AdWords campaign with 1000 keywords and a budget of $300 a day. As I was paying $2 a click, I got 150 clicks a day, all landing on my affiliate link. My conversion was 1%, or 1.5 sales a day. The average sales price was $90 so that’s $135 a day. So, I was losing on average $175 a day.

I left the campaign going for 1 week while I worked on a basic landing page. When I say basic, I mean very basic. It was simply 3 pages, my sales copy, a contact me page, and a terms and conditions. By the end of the week, I was down $1375.

At the start of the next week, I ran my campaign again, but instead had the prospects landing on my new landing page. My conversion was up to 5%, or 7.5 sales at $90. $375 profit a day.

As you can plainly see, a landing page can give you incredible results. They are so easy to make you will laugh.

Did you know that Google has a service called “Google Sites”. They offer you a very easy to use template for you to build a site, and it is hosted for free. You only need to pay for the domain name, which is around $8 a YEAR!

I will write articles in the future about ad copy, but really, it couldn’t be easier to have your own website up and running. Mine only took me a week because I currently run and operate 16 websites. I devoted only 30 minutes a day to getting the site up.

Why are landing pages so powerful? Because you can create them like a review site. You are offering unbiased information with no obvious benefit to yourself. People land on the products page after reading your review and are much, much more inclined to buy. A proper landing page is what separates the newbies from the masters.

Don’t worry about getting your landing page perfect. That will come from time and testing. Just take action and start practicing today.
