When people think about running banner ads on websites they will avoid going directly to the website and use Google’s Content Network instead. In this article I want to show you why this is not a good idea and how to do it the right way.

Google’s Content Network is a great way to get traffic to your website. I have used it since it came out and love it. But if you want banner ad traffic, then you should not use it.

The reason is this – Google controls your fate. If you run banner ads through the Content Network you’re going to have to play by Google’s quality score. But if you go directly to the website owners themselves, you don’t have to worry about all that and can get traffic without dealing with it.

Secret #2:

You want to go directly to the site owners verses going through the Content Network because you can get better deals from the website owners. When they are running ads (AdSense Ads) on their sites they are getting a bit of money from every click & then Google takes the bulk of it.

That is fine as Google is the one providing the ads. But if you go to them directly, you can give them a better deal and they get all the money. This is great for most site owners because they will make way more money running your ads then doing it through Google.

Also you will build a relationship with them that can lead to other things.
