The first thing I would like to cover is that most if not all online forums have a no-promote rule which eliminates spammy posts or even blatant promotion posting. My personal opinion of this would have to be I think it’s a good thing to be able to join and post on a forum and get real answers rather than a GO HERE and your problems are solved link, but you are not reading this for the benefits of the no promo rule so let me get to it.

Have you ever heard someone referring to your online business as having to be that of high value? Whether or not you actually understood this it is the first thing you must think of when trying to leverage people in need to become a lead or eventually a paying customer. Providing someone who is asking for a helping hand with quality information on the regarding subject is crucial in the way you are going to be viewed. The more your answer stands out to the person the quicker your results will be. Giving away a free e-book or post a link to someone else’s blog and informing them properly will allow you to quickly stand out amongst the masses in any sort of online forum because the no-promo rule only applies to you.

A very quick way to begin seeing results is to find a highly active forum and search for the most recent posts on topics you have the answers to, because lets face it you cannot answer questions you don’t know the answers to so stay within your bounds.

Come up with a catchy signature re-capping on what you just posted and allowing someone to find out more from you to come and visit your site for more information, only in your signature are you aloud to promote which is why it is important to be a very active person in the forum you are marketing in. About 20 to 30 minutes each day should be suffice. Another great reason to be an active forum member is that forums are extremely search engine friendly and believe it or not someone might be wanting the same answer you provided having found it through a search engine so keep this in mind anytime you post.
